SpiritWise: Logo and Identity, Custom Design

Posted May 31st, 2010 in Portfolio by Alastair McDermott

SpiritWise was an interesting challenge – to create a professional website with a very precise colour scheme and imagery. Dimitar, our lead designer and logo expert, created a fantastic logo for SpiritWise, around which we based the homepage design.

For the WordPress Theme, we found a suitable professional theme on Themeforest and disassembled. We put a completely new design on top of the theme framework and added in some custom WordPress programming for several features. The result is one of our best designs to date.

HotelsInOne: Custom E-Commerce Site Design, Logo

Posted May 31st, 2010 in Portfolio by Alastair McDermott

HotelsInOne approached us looking for a fresh new site redesign which had to be compatible with their new corporate identity.

We built a brand new design for their e-commerce website including over 8 different page templates in HTML for use by their existing web programming team. We also refreshed their logo to make it more modern and user friendly, as well as creating a Custom WordPress Theme for their blog (link).

Between the e-commerce site and the custom blog design, the HotelsInOne site is one of our favourite designs from our portfolio.

One of our most ambitious and successful projects to date, we planned, designed & produced WORC, an E-Learning System with very stringent requirements for the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent based in Geneva.

DVD based and cross-platform (xHTML/XML/JS), WORC is a full e-learning system including text, graphics, video, voice-over, interactive games, end of module tests, and exam with Certificate generation facilities.

We managed all aspects of production through all stages of planning, design, development, testing & deployment. The system, which included over 48,000 words/280 pages of content, video and interactive games, was delivered on time and on budget.

Eoin was able to provide fantastic high quality photographs which put the finishing touches on a great looking site.

HotelsInOne: Custom WordPress Theme

Posted May 31st, 2010 in Portfolio by Alastair McDermott

One of our personal favourite designs is the 100% Custom WordPress Theme we created for the HotelsInOne blog.

We had to work within the colour scheme of their brand identity and stay true to the logo and main website design we created for them (link). The result is a great looking, user-friendly blog design.

WebsiteDoctor: Custom Design and Programming

Posted May 30th, 2010 in Portfolio by Alastair McDermott

For WebsiteDoctor we wanted to build a custom design on top of Thesis, an incredibly powerful WordPress theme/framework. We’re big fans of the Thesis theme as it puts a lot of power into the hands of the user with it’s enormous amount of options. It’s biggest technical advantage is the way it separates the theme core from end-user customisations (translation: it’s future proof).

This custom design was for our sister company, WebsiteDoctor.com.

DeneHickey.com: Custom Design, Video

Posted May 30th, 2010 in Portfolio by Alastair McDermott

Custom design for DeneHickey.com. This site is generating leads a week for Dene’s deep tissue and sports massage business.

We’ve recently added some video interviews and footage of Dene working with a client onto the site and YouTube.

The website was originally built as a HTML site, and we’d like to move it over to WordPress at some point, but we’ll only do that when it makes sense from an ROI perspective for Dene.
